Each spring, rangers host a Stroll into Spring to honor wildflower season. Rangers will guide you on an hour-long tour through the McKittrick Canyon Nature Trail, a 0.9-mile round trip journey to view the spectacular array of colors and blossoms. During spring the rangers also host regular hour-long beginner bird walks on the Pinery Trail. You can also come to one of a several "Whole Lotta Javelinas" events, where rangers teach you about this unique pig-like desert mammal. All of these events are free.
