Activities
Children will enjoy journeying through this interesting park, which was formed millions of years ago by volcanic eruptions. In addition to hiking on scenic trails and exploring dark talus caves, kids can chase insects, identify bird calls and smell wildflowers, either with their parents or through a ranger-led program. Certain hikes have been designated kid-friendly including the Moses Spring to Rim Trail Loop, which travels by the reservoir and through the talus caves. It's 2.2 miles round trip, features an elevation gain of 500-feet and takes about 90 minutes to complete. Cap off your kid-friendly park visit with a marshmallow roast and campfire singalong at the Pinnacles Campground, which features a swimming pool!
