The Sand Ramp trailhead is not clearly signposted; it is located in the Pinon Flats Campground at the north end of the park road. The path starts in upper Loop B, next to a small parking lot. There are only spots for five vehicles here: if the lot is full, you can park at the campground entrance, which is located a quarter-mile away. Note that Pinon Flats Campground can get incredibly crowded in the summer, so arrive early if you plan to hike the Sand Ramp Trail (or camp off the trail).
