From the pier in Bechers Bay, follow the Coastal Road south and pass the Water Canyon campground, where you will pick up the Water Canyon Trail. Year-round, running water can be found along this hike, as well as native vegetation growing on the steep walls of the canyon. Follow the stream bed and animal paths and see where the trail takes you before turning around and heading back to the pier. Restrooms and an island visitor center are accessible from this trail.
