From the pier at Prisoners Harbor, backcountry hikers can follow Navy Road to the trailhead of the Del Norte Trail, then hike east to reach the campground. Of course, you don't have to be camping to hike the rugged trail, which is about 3.5 miles one-way. Restrooms are accessible from this trail.
