Camping is a year-round option on all five of the park's islands, each of which has an established campground: above Landing Cove on Santa Barbara Island; the east islet on Anacapa Island; Scorpion Ranch on Santa Cruz Island; Water Canyon on Santa Rosa Island; and above Cuyler Harbor on San Miguel Island. In addition, limited backcountry camping is available on Santa Cruz and Santa Rosa islands. Camping conditions on all five islands are primitive, and campers must camp within designated areas. All campgrounds are equipped with picnic tables and pit toilets, but water is available only at the Santa Rosa and Santa Cruz campgrounds, and no fires are permitted. You're also required to store your food in park-provided boxes to keep it away from scavenging animals. Camping on any island is $15 per night, per site. Call 877-444-6777 or visit [Recreation.gov]( http://www.recreation.gov/) to make reservations (no more than five months in advance).
