Paradise Meadows Trail Details

The Paradise Meadows Trail slowly climbs along a creek to a meadow; about a half mile in, the climbing becomes less gradual as you enter a narrow ravine. Follow the sounds of moving water for views of a small, but powerful waterfall. You'll come to an intersection shortly thereafter: bear right and go across the footbridge towards the Terrace Lake Trail. Only .1 mile down this trail, you'll reach the edge of Paradise Meadows. Wander through the thick grasses and wildflowers to get a real taste of a Lassen summer, or follow the stream as far as the talus fields lining the cliffs. Mt. Conard and Lassen Peak hover just above these cliffs. This short, 4.4 mile roundtrip, picturesque trail begins at the Hat Lake Parking Area, just 9 miles from the Northwest Entrance. Cross the road to get to the trailhead. Note that there is no potable water at the trailhead, so fill water bottles up beforehand.
