Kid-Friendly Options

Virgin Islands National Park has a great Junior Ranger program designed to get kids involved in the park. To become a Junior Ranger, pick up a workbook from the visitors center and being exploring and completing the activities. To do so, you'll need to hike, visit various parts of the park, observe wildlife and plants, then show your completed work to a ranger, who will award the Junior Ranger with a badge and certificate. Kids tend to like the colorful displays in the visitors center, but they love the colorful fish, birds, and lizards you'll see in the park even more, so head outside. Depending on their age and comfort level, kids will find kayaking, snorkeling, or hiking a great way to spend the day. If you're staying at the Caneel Bay Resort, the resort's Turtle Town child center has it all: programming from half- to full-days, dinner and a movie programs, playtime, crafts, themed activities that teach about the island, and the chance to be around other kids.
