Below the water's surface, you can spot some of the more than 600 species of bright, tropical fish that can be found in the park, not to mention corals and maybe even sharks, dolphins, or manatees. Ask the park rangers where the best places are to spot manatees, butterflies, and even crocodiles on land. Birding is very popular in the park, and the [Biscayne Birding Trail](https://www.nps.gov/bisc/planyourvisit/biscayne-birding-trail.htm), developed in partnership with the Tropical Audubon Society, can guide you to the best places for spotting birds.
