You'll need access to a boat to experience the park beyond the visitor center and Convoy Point. You can bring your own boat and explore the park on your own; four nearby marinas provide boat access: Black Point Park and Marina, Crandon Park Marina, Herbert Hoover Marina at Homestead Bayfront Park, and Matheson Hammock Park Marina. Or, take a 2.5-hour guided boat tour from the visitor center to see and learn about Biscayne National Park from a park ranger. The tours are typically offered January through June. Island Dreamer Sailing offers full-day (six-hour) sailing trips from the visitor center; these trips are available year-round.
