Fort Union Trading Post National Historic Site, Montana

Built in 1828 by the American Fur Company close to the confluence of the Missouri and Yellowstone Rivers, Fort Union was where Northern Plains Indians came to sell buffalo and beaver pelts for nearly 40 years.
