Horseshoe Bend National Battlefield, Alabama

Most of Alabama and Georgia was part of the Creek Nation prior to 1814, but that ended when an army led by future U.S. president Gen. Andrew Jackson attacked a band of Creek warriors belonging to the Red Stick faction.
